Sparkhouse Ensemble (Ages 16–25)

Sparkhouse Ensemble is an advanced, audition-level theatre company for passionate young performers aged 16-25 who are committed to creating bold, original theatre.

Working alongside professional directors, choreographers and visiting theatre-makers, members receive specialist training and are mentored by Edward Bennett and Box House Theatre. Together, the ensemble collaborates as a creative company, devising ambitious new work for regional touring, with the long-term ambition of developing productions for performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Prospective members are invited to attend a **free trial rehearsal**, which acts as an informal audition. This allows both the young person and the creative team to explore whether the ensemble is the right fit, ensuring everyone can thrive in a collaborative, ambitious environment.

The ensemble is best suited to young people who have achieved GCSE Drama and are currently studying A Level Drama, a performing arts qualification, or have equivalent theatre training. Exceptional applicants with significant performance or devising experience outside formal education will also be considered.

If, following the trial rehearsal, we feel another company would better support a young person's development, we will be pleased to recommend one of our senior Cotswold Youth Theatre groups.
